Dal 1° al 6 settembre 2026, la frazione Belvedere di Siracusa celebra la festa patronale in onore di Sant'Anna, con un ricco programma di manifestazioni religiose e civili. Il momento clou è la solenne processione del 6 settembre, che percorre le vie del quartiere a partire dalle 17:30. Nei giorni precedenti, l'area di Piazza Rossello e via Poggio del Carancino ospita intrattenimenti musicali e altre iniziative di festa.

Strepitus Silentii - Le Notti delle Catacombe

For the 22nd year, Strepitus Silentii returns, the theatrical night tours that transform the Catacombs of San Giovanni into a stage of history and silence. Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from July 31 to August 30, two evening shifts accompany visitors on an underground path where archaeology and acting merge. Narrating voices and live music echo through the galleries, recreating the atmosphere of a place that for centuries has preserved memories and rites. The event is organized by Kairòs with the Cultural Association L'Isola del Dialogo and under the patronage of the Municipality of Siracusa.

EXHIBITION of the precious SILVER CHANDELIER of the BLESSED VIRGIN MARY (17th-18th century)

In the Crypt of the Cathedral of Syracuse, from 13 to 31 August 2026, the silver chandelier of the Blessed Virgin Mary is exhibited, a piece of sacred silverware made between the 17th and 18th centuries. It is a work of great historical and artistic value, usually kept in non-accessible rooms. The temporary exhibition allows you to observe the details of this creation up close, in an underground space of strong impact.
