From 17 to 20 July 2026, Palermo commemorates the 34th anniversary of the Via D'Amelio massacre, in which Judge Paolo Borsellino and his escort agents lost their lives. The celebrations include institutional and commemorative moments, with the participation of civil and military authorities. A stage will be set up at Via D'Amelio, number 19/21, for the ceremonies. To ensure safe conduct, traffic restrictions are planned in the area.
Via D'Amelio, section between number 23 (excluded) and the end of the street: - No parking with forced removal on both sides, from 7:00 AM on 18 July to 12:00 AM on 20 July 2026. - Closure to vehicular traffic during the same period. Residents and holders of authorized driveways are excluded, and may only pass during hours when no events are taking place.
