At the Palmento di Rudinì in Marzamemi, the legend of the Moor's Heads comes to life in a new guise. The show, written and directed by Gisella Calì with music and lyrics by Daniele Caruso, transports the myth to Sicily in 1916, within a large landed estate. Actors, singing, dance and stage action transform the ancient winemaking space into a narrative environment that envelops the audience. A story that weaves together history, folklore and musical theatre in one of the most evocative locations in the Syracuse area.
Inferno di Dante alle Gole dell'Alcantara
Castiglione di Sicilia (CT)
From July 23 to September 6, 2026, the Gole dell'Alcantara host an impressive theatrical staging of Dante's Inferno. The show uses the natural scenery of the basalt walls to bring Dante's circles to life with a large cast and striking stage effects. Two performances are scheduled each evening, at 8:30 PM and 10:00 PM. The preview is on July 21.
Three Generations on Stage – Sicily between Memory, Present and Future

The project "Tradizione in scena 2026" takes shape in the theatrical and cultural journey "Three Generations on Stage – Sicily between Memory, Present and Future", which includes six professional shows and six public meetings with the artists. The program includes: Walter Bonanno Auser – "Autodifesa di Caino" (July 24, 2026), Marineo Solidale – "Medioevo e dintorni" (August 12, 2026), Battello Ebbro – "La fortuna con l’effe maiuscola" (August 28, 2026), Marco Manera – "Sana Follia" (September 19, 2026), Ernesto Maria Ponte – "Boomer" (September 26, 2026), Chris Clun – "Toxoplasmosi" (October 3, 2026). Each show is preceded by a public meeting with the artist lasting 30-40 minutes, open to the public, to enhance the Sicilian language and foster dialogue between generations.
Rassegna 'Teatro in Corte' 2026

As part of the Estate Bonaccorsese 2026, the 'Teatro in Corte' series kicks off in the Courtyard of Palazzo Cutore. The shows will take place on July 26, August 8, 9, 23, 30, and September 4, 2026, with the municipality co-funding the subscription for residents.

From 2 to 4 September 2026, the Kikajon Farmhouse in Linguaglossa hosts the "Serate d'Incanto" festival, a series of open-air theatre and music performances. The programme includes: on 2 September, a performance of Euripides' "Trojan Women" by the Liceo Classico Gulli-Pennisi of Acireale; on 3 September, the show "Sembrano dormire sulla collina di Spoon River" with songs by Fabrizio De André; on 4 September, "Ettore Majorana - Mistero di un genio catanese" with Rodolfo Torrisi. All performances start at 8:00 PM.
