On the occasion of the jubilee year for the ninth centenary of the translation of the relics of Saint Agatha (1126), the Cathedral Basilica of Catania hosts an extraordinary event. On July 20, a solemn conference will be held dedicated to the restoration of the Reliquary Bust and the gold ex-votos, carried out in the Vatican laboratories. Afterwards, it will be possible to venerate the Sacred Skull of the Saint, exceptionally displayed to the public. In the following days, until July 22, the extraordinary exhibition of the Head Relic and the reliquary bust continues, without the ex-votos to show its original structure.

Suspension of public land activities and street vendors on July 20-21-22 from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM in Piazza Università, Via Santa Maria del Rosario (section Piazza Università-Via Raddusa), Via Raddusa, Via Vittorio Emanuele II (section Piazza San Placido-Piazza Duomo).
