Thanks to an agreement between the Municipality of Ragusa and the Opera Pia "Collegio di Maria SS. Addolorata", the Church of Maria SS. Addolorata, known as La Badia, will be open to the public for tourist and cultural visits from July 1 to December 31, 2026. The church, located in the historic center of Ragusa next to the Cathedral of San Giovanni Battista, is a place of worship of historical and cultural interest, often hosting exhibitions and art shows. The initiative, funded by the tourist tax revenue, is part of the city's UNESCO heritage enhancement project, offering tourists and visitors the opportunity to discover another architectural gem.

A narrative and musical walk through the streets of Ragusa and Ragusa Ibla to rediscover the collective memory and traditions of the Iblean area through words, music and theatre. The initiative takes place in two phases: from 9 to 23 July in Ragusa Centro and from 16 to 30 July in Ragusa Ibla. The event is organised by the Pietra Viva Aps Association with the patronage of the Municipality of Ragusa.

From 23 to 26 July 2026, Ragusa Ibla hosts the second edition of WE-CHEESE, an event dedicated to Ragusano DOP and the cheeses of the Monti Iblei. The event celebrates Ragusa being named 'City of Cheese 2026' and offers tastings, cooking shows, workshops and markets with caciocavallo, provola, ricotta and mozzarella. Visitors can meet the producers, attend talks and enjoy the convivial atmosphere of the historic Baroque center. An opportunity to discover the authentic flavors of the Ragusa cheese-making culture.

XXXI Premio Ragusani nel Mondo

Il XXXI Premio Ragusani nel Mondo si terrà il 25 luglio 2026 in piazza Libertà a Ragusa. La manifestazione celebra i concittadini che si sono distinti in vari ambiti a livello nazionale e internazionale. Per l'occasione, la piazza e le vie limitrofe saranno chiuse al traffico dalle 19:00 alle 02:00 del 25 luglio. Sono previsti divieti di sosta con rimozione forzata già dal 21 luglio per il montaggio del palco.
