On 8 November 2026, at 5:30 PM, the Centro Commerciale Culturale "Mimì Arezzo" in Ragusa, at via Giacomo Matteotti 61, hosts Alessandro Cecchi Paone for a meeting on civil rights. Elvira Adamo, Councillor for Social Policies of the Municipality of Ragusa, will converse with the journalist and science communicator. At the heart of the conversation is the book "I colori della libertà. La mia vita per i diritti di tutti" (Piemme), in which Cecchi Paone retraces fifty years of outreach work and activism and recounts his personal story. What emerges is a discussion on the rights of LGBTQ+ people, gender equality, the plurality of family models and the discriminations that are still open. The meeting is promoted by the Rito Simbolico Italiano - Collegio Hybla Herea, with the patronage of the Municipality of Ragusa and the collaboration of the Associazione Culturale Femminile Minerva.
