Portopalo in Festa – 3rd Edition 2026

The Municipality of Portopalo di Capo Passero presents the third edition of “Portopalo in Festa”, a summer festival that enlivens the area in the months of July, August and September 2026. The program, approved by City Council Resolution No. 67/2026, includes musical, cultural, religious, food and wine, sports and entertainment events for all ages. Among the scheduled events: concerts (27 and 29 August), flag-wavers show, beach games and traditional games on land, with awards and logistical support. The events take place in various locations in the municipality: via Lucio Tasca, contrada Scolo Mandrie, the Arena Due Mari and the area of the Archaeological Circuit of C.da Cicogna.
Settimane Blu - Review dedicated to the identities of fishing and the sea
Portopalo di Capo Passero (SR)
The GAC dei Due Mari organizes the Settimane Blu, a traveling review that touches seven municipalities in south-eastern Sicily: Portopalo di Capo Passero, Pachino, Avola, Noto, Ispica, Pozzallo and Modica. Every weekend, from August 29 to October 11, 2026, an equipped exhibition area hosts workshops, show cooking, educational labs, exhibitions and meetings with fishermen and artisans, to tell the maritime heritage and traditions related to fishing. All activities are free and open to all, designed to enhance coastal biodiversity and local food and wine culture.

Nell'ambito della Conferenza internazionale "Man and Karst in Sicily 2026", il 16 settembre 2026 si terrà una giornata di attività scientifiche, culturali e divulgative a Portopalo di Capo Passero. Il programma prevede alle ore 9:00 il saluto di benvenuto dell'Amministrazione comunale, alle ore 9:30 l'imbarco per l'Isola di Capo Passero, un trekking sull'isola con visita del Castello accompagnati da una guida qualificata, e il rientro nel primo pomeriggio.
