The summer open-air cinema returns at the Auditorium Nannino Ragusa in Marina di Modica. The festival, organized by Novecento srl, offers screenings from Monday to Thursday, with the possibility of extending the program to weekends as well. The program ranges from first-run films, animated movies, family works, and quality films, aiming to provide an engaging cultural experience for the entire community and visitors. Meetings with nationally renowned directors and actors are also planned.

The Modica Summer Fest 2026 is a rich program of summer events that enlivens the historic center of Modica and its hamlets (Marina di Modica, Frigintini) until September 30. The program includes live music concerts, jazz, bands, theatrical performances, dance evenings, film screenings, exhibitions and entertainment for all tastes. Among the regular events are "Cinema sotto le stelle" at the Auditorium Nannino Ragusa and the permanent exhibitions at the Chiostro di San Domenico and the Chiesa di San Nicolò ed Erasmo. All events are free admission.

Settimane Blu - Rassegna dedicata alle identità della pesca e del mare

Settimane Blu is a traveling exhibition dedicated to the identities of fishing and sea culture, promoted by the GAC dei Due Mari. From August 29 to October 11, 2026, the event will touch seven municipalities on the Sicilian coast: Portopalo di Capo Passero, Pachino, Avola, Noto, Ispica, Pozzallo and Modica. The heart of the event is an exhibition area equipped with an LED wall, where projections, workshops, show cooking and recreational activities alternate. The program, also built thanks to proposals collected from the territory, includes photographic exhibitions, educational workshops, meetings with fishermen and artisans, book presentations and traditional recipes. All activities are free of charge. For the 2026 edition, the GAC has invited associations, fishermen and creatives to send photographs, videos and ideas to enrich the calendar, making the event a living mirror of the local fishing communities.
