From 17 to 19 July 2026, the "Regata Nazionale Classe Optimist" will be held, organized by the Lega Navale Italiana – Messina Section. The event will see the participation of young sailors from all over Italy. To allow parking for participants' vehicles, the eastern parking area of Via Consolare Pompea, adjacent to the Parco Giochi Trocadero, will be reserved.
No parking 24/7 with forced removal from 1:00 PM on 17/07/2026 to 5:00 PM on 19/07/2026 in the eastern parking area of Via Consolare Pompea (adjacent to the Parco Giochi Trocadero). The area is reserved for vehicles of regatta participants.

Martino, corso Cavour e via Sacro Cuore, per poi rientrare in chiesa. La processione è organizzata dalla Parrocchia di Santa Maria del Carmine e rappresenta un momento di fede e devozione per la comunità messinese.

The Parish of S. Margherita in Messina organizes the traditional eggplant festival, on the occasion of the celebrations in honor of the patron saint. The menu offers a rich selection of eggplant dishes: pasta alla norma, meatballs, parmigiana, braciole, stuffed eggplants, as well as crepes, crespelle, desserts, drinks and wine. It is possible to accompany the dishes with sandwiches. The evening is enlivened by live music.
