An afternoon dedicated to the flavors of Sicilian tradition, immersed in the quiet of the Messina hills. The "Gita Enogastronomica" on September 20, 2026 takes participants to the Oasi della Madonna del Sorriso, in Contrada Vallone Amantea, a peaceful corner just a stone's throw from the Pace stream. The event (1:00 PM to 4:00 PM) combines the pleasure of dining with that of nature: a walk along the paths of the oasis and a tasting of local products, regional wines and specialties prepared according to home recipes. An opportunity to get to know the Messina area's food and wine excellence up close, in a convivial and informal atmosphere.

Tempo del Creato 2026

The Archdiocese of Messina - Lipari - Santa Lucia del Mela organizes the Tempo del Creato 2026, a period of reflection and prayer dedicated to the care of creation. The program begins on September 1st with a Eucharistic celebration at the Santuario Madonna di Lourdes, followed by a concert by the Duo Tusa - Pitali. Various events are planned, including a valorization of the natural heritage of the Colli San Rizzo on September 5th, an ecumenical prayer at the Parco Agorà dello Stretto on September 26th, and the conclusion with a Eucharistic celebration in the Cathedral on October 4th.

The Bellini International Context returns in 2026 with its sixth edition, scheduled from September 15 to October 4. The event takes place across Catania, Palermo, Messina and Agrigento, involving major theaters and musical institutions. The calendar features over 30 events ranging from symphonic music to theater, with concerts, operas and world premieres. A journey that intertwines Bellini's legacy with other musical languages, thanks to the participation of Sicilian orchestras and conservatories, in collaboration with regional bodies and cultural foundations.

Reopening for worship of the Church of the Miraculous Medal

The Church of the Miraculous Medal, inside the Collereale Hospitality House in Via del Santo, reopens for worship on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 after a period of closure. The ceremony is part of the celebrations for the bicentenary of the foundation of Collereale, which in 2027 will complete two centuries of service to people. At 6:30 PM, Holy Mass will be celebrated, presided over by Mons. Mario Di Pietro, President of Collereale, on the 42nd anniversary of his Priestly Ordination.
