Un premio da… Strega – Exhibition for the 80th Anniversary of the Strega Prize
Castroreale (ME)
The Civic Museum of Castroreale hosts the bibliographic exhibition "Un premio da… Strega", set up to celebrate the eightieth anniversary of Italy's most prestigious literary prize. Curated by Carmelo Pace and organized by the "Artemisia" Municipal Library, the exhibition traces the history of the Strega Prize through books, documents and archival materials. The inauguration took place on 23 May 2026 as part of the 7th edition of the Castroreale Mystery Festival. The exhibition remains open throughout the summer until 4 September.

Event 'Sospesi nel tempo - fra storia, tradizione e innovazione' first edition, organized by the Association 'Noi Art Ius Project APS' with the patronage of the Municipality and use of a room in the Museo Civico.
Festeggiamenti del SS. Crocifisso

From 22 to 26 August 2026, Castroreale celebrates the festivities in honor of the SS. Crocifisso, with moments of faith and tradition. The program includes the procession of the simulacrum of the SS. Crocifisso at two times: Sunday 23 August at 6:00 PM (from the church of Sant'Agata to Piazza Duomo) and Tuesday 25 August at 6:30 PM (itinerary: Piazza Duomo, Corso Umberto I, Piazza Candelora, Salita SS. Salvatore, Piazza Pertini, via G. Siracusa, church of Sant'Agata). For the occasion, a stage will be set up in Piazza Marconi (Piazza Duomo) for the performance of the Historical band M° Settimo Sardo.
Festa del Cristo Lungo

The Festa del Cristo Lungo takes place in Castroreale from 23 to 25 August 2026. The event is organized in collaboration with the National Carabinieri Association, Barcellona P.G. section, and includes moments of gathering and refreshments for participants. The event is open to the entire community and visitors.
