The summer program of Calatafimi Segesta offers a rich schedule of events ranging from sports to culture, from food and wine traditions to theatrical and musical performances. Among the main appointments are the Teatro Segesta Festival, with theater series and shows, and the festivals dedicated to local specialties such as maccherone and sausage. There are also sports tournaments, open-air cinema evenings, and religious celebrations.
Segesta Teatro Festival - 5th Edition

The Segesta Teatro Festival reaches its fifth edition, under the artistic direction of Claudio Collovà. The event takes place in the evocative Segesta Archaeological Park, offering a rich program of theatre shows, concerts and performances. The festival kicks off on July 26 with the preview 'L'Arca di Noè' by Bellacompagnia APS, and continues until August 30 with numerous events. Highlights include Aristophanes' 'Lysistrata', Euripides' 'Hecuba', Jean Anouilh's 'Antigone' and Aeschylus' 'The Suppliants', performed by renowned artists such as Lella Costa, Serena Sinigaglia, Moni Ovadia and Mario Incudine. Musical moments are not lacking, with concerts by Gianmarco Carroccia, Luciana Di Bella and Massimiliano Pace, and international performances such as 'Sword of Wisdom' from Taiwan. The festival concludes on August 30 with 'Agamemnon' by Fabrizio Sinisi, performed by Maddalena Crippa and Gianluigi Fogacci.
